Loading Recommendation Instructions
NOTE: Load recommendations are calculated for a trained, proficient and experienced operator and should be used as a general guide only.
The following outlines the recommended maximum weight which can be moved safely by 1 operator in 3 different moving configurations.
On and off vehicles or loading docks
Up and down stairs
Over flat surfaces
The PowerMate® LE series has been designed specifically to move loads with center of gravity locations which are inside of the shaded area of the Load Recommendation Chart. Loads with center of gravity locations above this area can also be moved but do not generally require the use of the moveable load carriage.
In order to determine if your load with its specific center of gravity location can be moved safely, complete the following 3 steps ...
Determine the weight of your load in pounds (lbs) or kilograms
Establish where the weight is concentrated in the load. This center of gravity location is measured in inches (in) and is determined by:
The distance forward from the back of the load
The distance up from the bottom of the load
Locate on the Load Recommendation Chart the area closest to the center of gravity location for your load. From this determine that your load does not exceed the recommended maximym weight in your specific moving configuration. If your specific move requires 2 or 3 different moving configurations, then use the least of the recommended maximum loads.
